I came across this video regarding Martin Margiela on a late night YouTube binge. I’ve admired his work and his finely revolutionary sensibilities, but knew nothing about the man himself, and rightfully so since he made it a point to not let many know about the wizard behind the curtain. In the below 12 minute clip, we get a little more insight.
Of course after watching the initial video, I was inspired to dig up a few more. The 2nd video is a studio visit for what I think is the last Artisanal show in 2009 which Margiela himself was the artistic director before he rode off into the sunset. The 3rd video is the House FW 2015 show with dynamic duo John Galliano extending his vision as creative director and Pat McGrath applying her own distinct brand of masks.
