On Etsy, craft mecca and home of some the most ingenious independent designers and artists in the world, it can be a challenge not to get lost in the crowd. But Brandi of purlBknit studio in Brooklyn does a fine job of it with her Elizabethan-inspired collars and truly original caplets and hoods. Whether substantially structured or flowing, these pieces exemplify smart, minimal design at its best. I think her harness hood is brilliant. I’d love to see a cold weather version of it.
